Wild Ride is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the promotion, training and adoption of formerly wild mustangs. We also offer a variety of programs focused on outdoor education and recreation from foraging, to geology and wildlife. We are located on over 150 acres of mostly undisturbed forest in eastern Connecticut

About America's Wild Mustangs

The United States Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages thousands of acres of public lands where wild horses roam freely. The excess horses are managed through a combination of birth control as well as gathering and removing excess horses to prevent overpopulation. These horses are then adopted either directly through the BLM or through various training programs.

Who are we?

We're the Whitsells! Wild Ride was founded by Jesse and MacKenzie Whitsell with lots and lots of help from Jesse's parents, Jody and Frank Whitsell as well as our dedicated and hard working facilities manager and all around rock star, Marc Galizia. We're a bunch of children at heart who all share a love for the outdoors including mountain biking, dirt biking, hiking, foraging, rock collecting, trail riding, horseback riding, off road 4x4 vehicles, climbing trees and digging in the dirt.
