About the event
This workshop series will be an interactive experience working with our horses on various topics in force free positive reinforcement techniques. Each workshop will include a lecture, training demonstration, and hands on time for attendees to work with our horses. The topics will include:
Session one: Introduction to force free positive reinforcement
Session two: Working with spooky/reactive horses
Session three: cooperative care tasks: hoof care, oral syringes, shots
Session four: Positive reinforcement groundwork for riding prep
Session five: Consent based saddle starting
